The freedom of natural barefoot movement, with a whisper of comfort.

Feel the Freedom. Feel the Fun. Feel the World!®

“The most comfortable, versatile barefoot sandal your feet will ever love.”

We’ve taken our ready-to-wear Venture and added a whisper of comfort with a custom-made 3mm Barefoam™ insert in the forefoot.

This makes the Cloud even lighter and more flexible than the Venture… A men’s size 9 is only 4.6 ounces. The Amuri Cloud floats!

Some people think of the Amuri Cloud as their casual Xero Shoe, even though it’s sturdy enough to tackle a 100-mile trail ultramarathon.

Reasons you’ll love the Amuri Cloud:

  • Four fun color combinations — Coal Black soles with Charcoal, Coal Black soles with Royal Blue, Mocha Earth soles with Black, and Royal Blue soles with Lime Green
  • Barefoam™ forefoot insert gives a hint of comfort, without unnecessary padding
  • Flatiron pattern on the Barefoam™ gives you extra grip
  • 6mm FeelTrue® outsole protects you from unpleasant surfaces without sacrificing ground feel
  • Elegant contour surrounds your foot, but doesn’t add unnecessary support
  • Ready to wear — the lacing is already done for you. Just slide in your foot and go
  • Patent-pending tensioning system — find the perfect fit in seconds, and then you can slide your Xeros on and off in a flash
  • Super soft toe post — since the huaraches-inspired lacing goes around your entire foot, you don’t feel the toe post the way you do in a flip flop or other thong sandal
  • Super STRONG toe post — won’t pull through the sole like flip flops do
  • Heel cup — keeps your heel in place, helps keep out debris, and adds a splash of color
  • Silicone Achilles strap — makes the lacing feel “not there”
  • Elevated ankle holes — the lace never touches the ground, and so it won’t abrade
  • 5,000 mile warranty! Wear out your Amuri Clouds in under 5,000 miles and we’ll replace them for the cost of shipping and handling (details here)

Get the right size for your Amuri Cloud

Barefoot sandals don’t fit the same way as shoes, or other sandals. Just because you wear, say, a size 10 Nike Free, that doesn’t mean you’ll wear a size 10 Amuri Cloud (and, I’m willing to bet you have other shoes that are 9.5 or 10.5… so are you really a 10 ;-) ?)

By following the instructions below, you’ll get the correct fit for your Amuri Cloud sandals.

NOTE: Please follow these instructions to get the right fit

3 Simple Steps to the Correct Fit

1. Measure your foot

Measure your feet for huarache barefoot sandals

  • Place a piece of paper against a wall (if you have VERY large feet, use a piece of newspaper.
  • Place your foot on the paper, with your heel against the wall.
  • Make a mark on the paper at the furthest point away from the wall… this will either be just in front of your big toe or second toe
  • Take a ruler and measure from the edge of the paper to the mark you made.

Here’s a video showing the process

2. Check your measurement against the chart, below

This will give you a good idea of your size… but PLEASE follow the next step whenever possible.

3. Verify the correct fit by printing the Amuri Cloud size template and comparing it to your foot

Great trail upgrade to the Genesis

    Posted by D on 9th Nov 2022

So this is my 3rd pair of Xero sandals, the DIY, the Genesis and now this. The pros One issue with previous iterations was that I was always left wanting a bit more protection from the sharp rock found on the trails I love to run. The Cloud's extra footbed lives up to its name. You will still feel the ground underneath but you won't be cursing it when it gets a bit rougher. The model also seems to fit a bit snugger so it feels more like a glove than the Genesis (which still gives a closer feeling as it has less material between you and the ground). This gives a bit more peace of mind on loose and steeper ground. It's one very comfortable pair of footwear and much more so than these heavy, clunky offerings by better known brands. The cons However, to provide a balanced review, I also found a few things that could be improved on this version of the Cloud. Firstly, the heel cup doesn't seem to do much for keeping things out from under your foot (compared to the Genesis). However, the heel cup does add weight which seems to give more stiffness/structure to the sandal making it fit more snugly, in a good way. This weight does seem to pull more on the back of the sandal though, which has one functional downside. It tends to loosen the heel strap much more easily than on the Genesis to the point where I have to stop every now and then to pull the strap back up and tighten. The straps/lacing also seem stiffer/cheaper than the stretch ones found on the Genesis and are not quite as comfy/well fitted on the foot. Lastly, there is only so much grip you can get from such a thin piece of footwear so on muddy ground or slippery rock, you may find a little slippage. But without much deeper lugs, I don't think this can be solved. It's like wanting an AWD that can handle hardcore 4WDing. The final verdict All in all though, the Cloud is a great trail running sandal especially when it gets a bit longer or rougher underfoot. It can handle most conditions you will encounter without any major problems, and your feet will still get a good feel but with a little bit more protection. This is a great do everything pair of sandals for anyone. The Genesis is still going to see use but mainly for hiking and road running where I'm going slower and/or the terrain is easier, and I want that absolute minimal feel.

    Sizing and foot contact issues.

Posted by Preston Digby on 13th Nov 2020

The shoe is perfect in every aspect except it runs a bit smaller than expected, the part under your toes tend to make a slapping sound when you hit the ground and the logo under the heel can feel sharp at times.

    Great

They feel like normal thongs but better since my toes don't have to claw at them for them to feel like they are staying on my foot

    Great footwear, minor faults

Posted by Waide on 12th Feb 2020

This is my third pair of Amuri Clouds. Great, comfortable footwear in general. Every pair I've bought has had minor manufacturing faults. The toe plug broke on the first pair. Fraying and tearing on the Achilles strap on the second. The Xero logo rubber on the Achilles strap came off on my brand new pair. The sandals, overall, are the most comfortable I've ever worn. The faults have been frustrating, but fixable.

    Excellent quality and great feel

Posted by Aaron on 29th Apr 2018

Excellent for walking, running, hiking or anything else you would want to do in them. The Barefoam does an amazing job of taking the sharp edges of rocks or other hard objects and is thin enough to feel everything, It's like magic to fit that in to such a thin sole. This is now my everyday casual shoe and is highly recommended! And just to add the postage is fast and reliable and the customer service is great!

    Very disappointed

    Posted by rayk.platzek@me.com on 14th May 2016

I was happy when I found these shoes online and saw that they are available in Australia. I thought finally I can get rid of my cheap thongs (flip flops) and will have high-quality shoes that will last forever - or at least for a very long time. Because I was so convinced by the product reviews on YouTube and on other websites, I also bought a pair for my wife. I have been testing these shoes now for the past 2 months and finally give up; they ended up in the bin today (just as a comparison: my cheap $2 thongs lasted about 1 year). These are my main issues with those shoes: 1. Even if you use the guide on their website to find the right size, the shoes are just too wide on both sides of the foot. Not only does it look funny because they make your feet look like Bigfoot's, but also is it impractical and causes a safety concern (tripping danger), especially when you walk in uneven terrain. 2. Even having picked our right sizes, the shoes are too long (one size smaller would be too small) and floppy. This causes the front occasionally to flip over and rub on the floor (again: tripping hazard) while walking. When you adjust the laces and make the shoe tighter at the front (as suggested in their promo video) it will be too lose at the heel of the shoe. So basically the shoe doesn't give you any support either way. 3. The most disappointing issue with these shoes is that you will feel very uncomfortable after around 200 m walking in them due to their design. On the men's shoes, they carved out a logo right were your heels are which is like a branding for your feet and leads to blisters very quickly (I have to admit my callus is quite thick, but I still got blisters every time I walked more than 2 km in the shoes). I cannot image running a marathon in these shoes as advertised on their website. 4. My wife had the same problems with her shoes, she even wanted to give them back and try smaller ones. However, after emailing their customer support we never heard anything from them. So all in all, I would suggest to stay away from these shoes unless you like to walk in pain and like to adjust them every km. Not worth the money, and definitely not holding up to the promises made.
