The HFS runs small. For the best fit, we recommend going up half a size than your usual size.

*For the best fit we recommend going up half a size.

“HFS” may be short for “Happy Feet Shoes,” “Hyper Flexible Soles,” or, more likely, what you’ll exclaim when you try this 7.0 ounce (M9) true road runner, “Holy ___ ___!” Your feet will love the natural comfort of the wide toe box and zero-drop design. The tire-inspired tread keeps you sure-footed. The 37.5® sockliner and breathable engineered mesh keep you cool. Hidden instep and mid-foot tensioners give you the security you need to go for that new personal best.

    First pair of xeros

Great pair of runners, good amount of flex and comfortable. Not quite as roomy as others, but still plenty of room. Right at home running long distance and track work.

Thoroughly enjoyed transitioning to barefoot shoes with these runners. Comfortable, flexible, & grippy on wet grass and other surfaces. Threw out my normal shoes once I tried these on!

    Xero HFS - A True All-Rounder

Posted by Keith on 27th Oct 2021

Having worn Vibram 5 Fingers Trail Running Shoes for the past 7 years I was seeking a minimalist shoe with a little more foot protection. I have been wearing a pair of HTS for the past 4 weeks and have been very impressed with the quality and performance of these shoes for both on and off-road running. I'm consistently clocking up 5 runs a week, varying in time from 1 to 4.5 hours per run. I'm predominantly running trails on a mix of rocky and softer, swampy and hilly single tracks. I've also used these on bike/foot paths when the trails run out. Here's my verdict: Pros: - Lightweight - Good Drainage in wet conditions - Minimalist yet still offer protection for the feet/toes - Sturdy: I have put these through all types of terrain (except snow) and they have withstood the punishment remarkably well. - Comfortable: I have a wide foot, however these have a nice wide forefoot section (toe box) which allows my forefoot and toes to spread while also offering protection (see above). Wide lace region allows you to customise the fit to your foot shape. Easy to clean and dry fast - Great after-sales service: I purchased two different sizes to ensure I got a correct fit. Exchanging the second pair once I had the right size was easy and quick. Cons: - Sizing: go big! I'm traditionally a size 12.5 US and the size 14 in the Xeros is my fit. I would recommend ordering two different sizes and exchanging the pair that doesn't fit as you'll then have a spare pair when the first pair eventually wear out. Cost: relatively expensive for a fairly basic shoe, but the Pros (above) justify the price.

    HFS Road Running Shoe

Posted by Waide on 15th Oct 2021

Very disappointed. I purchased these after using the Amuri Cloud and Genesis sandals for years. I ordered a half size larger, as recommended. Upon wearing the shoes for the first time, I noticed that they felt tight on my foot. After wearing them for some time, I noticed aching in my foot, ankle, knee and hip. I removed the inner sole to provide more space, only up find that the shoes itself was restricting my foot from naturally splaying to maximal width. Again, this caused aching and discomfort. Very disappointed as I now cannot return or exchange these shoes, due to being used.

Hi Hamish, the shoes arrived Monday the 27th. The look is great, the fit is great. But the Toe Box is too small for my big wide foot. I'm a 10,5 us, so bought 11us. But no worries' the soft sides of the shoe allowed my bunion to push out with no discomfort. According to the reviews on U tube, one of the best large toe box shoes is Be lenka, as it has a straighter large toe side to the shoe, and looks a little larger width. Something to pass on to the creator maybe. I would definitely buy this shoe again. Kind regards Robert Fortin. Thanks.

Great shoe to transition into barefoot running

Posted by Joe on 27th Sep 2021

I’ve always had very wide feet and in childhood was an excellent sprinter, as I’ve grown older and purchased shoes I never really understood how they were damaging my feet with the shape/fit and thusly probably the reason I have a horrible hallux valgus on my right food. Since buying these and transitioning into a more barefoot experience, I’ve felt the pain of it lessen considerably. I’ve also never felt my feed be so sore from use, in a good way either. Like my feed are getting a workout and using muscles in ways they have not needed to before. I will definitely be purchasing more footwear from xero again!

    HFS: Road Running Shoe (Men)

This recent purchase is my 2nd pair of HFS (light blue), which are dedicated to relearning how to run; the first (red) I continue to use as everyday casuals and at the gym. I’m using the advice articles on the Xeroshoes site for transitioning to minimalist shoes and general running and finding a gradual useful change that is enlightening and joyful. Running is one of my cross training tools that I’ve introduced to help build myself into a useful masters-level marathon kayaker. Love the shoes.
