WHAT’S NEW ABOUT THE XCURSION FUSION?
PROTECTION THAT FEELS JUST RIGHT.
With a new 5.5mm FeelTrue® sole, rugged dual chevron tread with 3.5mm lugs, and an embedded TrailFoam™ layer for added comfort and protection, the new Xcursion Fusion was designed to provide even more grip and control without sacrificing the ground feel and feedback you’d expect from Xero Shoes.
IMPROVED COMFORT AND DURABILITY.
We’ve tucked our Huarache-inspired tension straps under a sleek new welded upper so you can get a snug fit with even more abrasion resistance. Carried over from the previous model are features like the durable, protective toe cap, seam-sealed inner bootie, and a water-resistant membrane behind the outer mesh.
At just 13.2 ounces each for a Men’s 9, the Xcursion Fusion remains the perfect minimalist boot for backpacking, camping, trail hiking, or just about any adventure.
A FRESH, UPDATED LOOK.
Available in deep black and earthy brown tones, the new Xcursion Fusion is a minimalist hiking boot that is rugged enough for the most demanding summits yet stylish enough to pair with just jeans, khakis, tactical pants, or just about any casual attire.
WE MAKE BOOTS SO COMFORTABLE, YOU’LL FORGET THEY’RE EVEN ON.
If your feet don’t feel as good at the end of the day as they did in the beginning, you haven’t tried the Xcursion Fusion.
Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from letting your feet do what’s natural – bend, move, flex and feel.
All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for perfect balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you “just right” protection so you can bend, move, flex, and safely Feel the World® in total comfort.

Great shoe and very comfortable but need to cater for people like me with very high arches as they are difficult to put on, once on they are fantastic.
I did a great amount of research before buying these. Unfortunately the fit just did not seem right. If I went longer, it would have become even wider, leaving my mid-foot range floating in the shoe; shorter? No, then it would be hitting my toes. I normally wear 43; these I ordered in 44. I've gone with another brand, which gave me a much better fit, with the full barefoot experience and water proof etc. Well-intentioned product, but there are better options out there. In my view, that is.
These are my third pair of Xero shoes. I am so happy with the other two, but these shoes are really disappointing. Toe box too narrow, the rest of the shoe too wide. Sizing is really off too. I wouldn’t recommend these shoes.
It initially felt stiff and uncomfortable around the ridge where it is in contact with my legs, but with a bit of walking it became more comfortable. I do have wide feet and these still felt a bit narrow for them, but not too constricting and still comfortable overall.
As a 13 year Veteran commencing training through ADFA/Duntroon in the mid 90s I can appreciate a lighter, minimalist shoe given the shin splints that most experienced in this period with standard issue boots. The Xcursion Fusion is a minimalist, all round hybrid barefoot-style, waterproof shoe good for load bearing hiking offering support and low ankle stability but enough flexibility to promote natural foot movement and posture. Important for multi-day hikes. We hiked the New England National Park and the flexible sole offered enough grip and feedback with weight on our backs to navigate the sub-tropical creek lines with mossy and slippery wet surfaces as well as the steep rocky temperate rainforest at higher altitudes where foot placement and balance is critical. All up a robust, breathable, comfortable all-around hiking shoe or trail runner that is turn key with next to no wear in time." Brad, Veteran.
Lightweight (especially for a hiking-shoe or high-top trainers), and without a foam heel, I was less drained and beat up after a short hike, than with my regular hiking/ work boots.
1 day in and I feel like I’ve owned and worn these for 4 months. I expect them to only improve by the day, I might even do an update review. Half a size up as suggested by Xero is spot on. Removing the soles for more barefoot feel makes the shoe feel more spacious. Inserting the sole makes it feel more snug. I’m wearing these as a tradie for 8-9 hour days. I look forward to putting them through hell. I’ve opted for no sole insert. So far I’m very happy with their comfort and look. Thanks Xero, keep on keeping on! Yeww
My shoes arrived today and they're amazing!!! I've never had shoes that have had a better fit or feel to them. You guys really know your shoes, and walk the talk! Thanks team!
