NOTE: The Z-Trail has a wider forefoot than ordinary sport sandals. If your feet are particularly narrow, consider the Women’s Z-Trail EV. Just make sure to adjust by 1 size (for example, a men’s 8 is the same length as a women’s 9).

Z-Trail after 750km verdict.
I said I’d update my review after 6 weeks, it’s 10 weeks and 750km of wearing them for everything, everywhere. I’ve now bought a second pair as well as a pair of Prio’s so I can rotate them. No matter what I do to these sandals they are just comfortable and a pleasure to wear. I used them to transition from highly padded high-end runners that all became simply painful to wear after 4-6 weeks. The Z-trails solved that. Once my feet became used to them and I was walking like a human again all my foot pain just went, gone, forgotten. I also have a bonus (“mark of Zorro” suntan on my feet!) Yes, I’m one happy customer with two happy feet.

Z-Trail EV Men? Love them.
These sandals make me happy from my feet up. The comfort adjustment is simple, efficient and easy to adjust on the fly. Going against the advice for transitioning I may have gone to far doing 60+ K’s in the first days of wearing them because I got excited. Where they really shine is off road, on day two I took them up my Favorite local climb which is a mix of sandy gravel and rocks. I meant to only go 2k, but they felt that good I went 8k (and got wet as a storm rolled in) so I can attest to the grip descending was also good. As I usually do around 350k+ every 4 weeks I’ll add to this review after 6 weeks as I typically have destroyed modern high-end runners at that point. *Note: If you are new to barefoot, do read the section on transitioning to barefoot and please don’t ignore the advice like I did!

The sandals are good, it looks like it’s high quality. Would prefer a sole a bit more flexible than the actual one. And even though my feet fit well in the sandal it slides a bit to the outside and half of my toe is away. Besides that all good

One of my favourite items of clothing, I really love it. Perhaps it could be improved by reinforcing the front of the shoes so they don't deteriorate as fast.

Poor Quality
Stitching came apart within 3 months. Sent me out a new pair without talking to me. I didn't want a new pair I wanted to return them for a refund. Now I have 2 pairs of bad quality sandals. Same thing happened with my Prio's. Sole started coming away with in a few months. New pair that got sent are too short and squash my toes. I won't be buying anymore Xero products. This probably won't get posted anyway.

Good comfort, a little expensive, small sizing.
It's a really great sandal! The straps on competitors have been quite painful for me and left grazes, which these never have. However, I normally wear a size 12 and the size 13 in these is borderline too small and I feel they're a bit overpriced for what they are. I do have some concerns about longevity, as it appears the tread is glued to the upper, so they may separate over time. overall these are really great, but i did not want to blindly praise them. Thanks!
